Hi, I’m Shannon — and I’ve been where you are.

I was the woman who tried every diet.
The woman who felt uncomfortable in her own body.
The woman who weighed 100 pounds more than she does today.
​
After decades of starts and stops, I finally discovered what actually works—and I’ve kept that 100 pounds off for over five years.
​
Not through guilt, restriction, or chasing perfection…
But through consistency, strength training, smart nutrition, and deep mindset work.
​
Now, I help women 45 and over do the same—without the overwhelm, without the extremes, and without ever feeling like they’re doing it alone.

I’m a Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, Behaviour Change Specialist, and Weight Loss Specialist. But more importantly?
I’m the coach who gets it—and who’s walking this journey with you.

I started SJ Fitness because I know firsthand how overwhelming and confusing it can be to navigate the world of health and wellness alone — especially when you’re trying to lose weight and feel good in your own skin.

So many programs out there feel too intense, too restrictive, or just plain unrealistic — particularly for women juggling midlife changes, menopause, busy careers, and family life.
​
I created SJ Fitness to offer something different: a supportive space where women can find lasting change.
​
My mission is to show you that success doesn’t have to come with suffering.

And to help you finally feel confident and comfortable in your body — not just for a season, but for the long haul.
